Rust resistance and surface flatness

Put these rotors on the rear of my 2013 Subaru to replace severely scored and rusted lower model duralast rotors. These Duralast Gold rotors right off appeared much smoother and flatter. So far they appear to be resisting rust formation much better. Overall a better quality rotor.

I bought these carbon steel rotors for the same vehicle 3 years ago. They are much quieter and stopping is easier and smoother. I would not go back to the regular steel rotors.
