        How to put them on

        Sam

        in a year

Was easy peasy for me with the help from the people at Auto Zone. They gave me step by step instructions at their store and I took them (the brake shoes) home and installed them within 15 minutes.

        2012 Jeep Compass Drum Brakes

        Steve Lopez

        in 2 years

First time changing the Rear Brake Drums on my Compass. Was pretty easy. I was first kinda doubting if I would be able to change them but it wasn't that bad. The rear drums was seized on. So I had to use WD40 and give a good amount of wacks with a hammer to unseize them. But once I got them off it was a matter of taking some pictures of how the hardware was placed on before I started to take the old brake shoes off so that I don't get confused with how to place them back in place like the original ones. Remember to grease the drum pads where they touch the metal before placing the new shoes on and use break cleaner and spray everything so that you don't get squeaks later down the line from all the old metal shaves/brake dust. But Very happy with the End Result and No Squeaks at all very smooth braking once I did my test run after finishing the job...
