2013 Kia Optima Headlight Bulb

Nearly all of the lights around your car show other drivers your position on the road as well as the direction you intend to go. Your Kia Optima headlight bulbs are different though. They're for the driver to see where you're going at night, illuminating the road ahead of your car. When one headlight isn't working, it affects how well you can see, and it's even possible to get a fine. Luckily, it's possible to regain your Optima's lighting with a replacement headlight bulb from AutoZone.

2013 Kia Optima Bulb Sizes

Every headlight bulb looks approximately the same, but only the correct bulb will fit and operate properly. You can find the correct headlight bulb size for your vehicle printed on the side of the bulb itself or use the filter above to sort the options by vehicle. Headlights for Kia Optima models could be standard halogen bulbs that require size H11 for low beams and H1 bulbs for high beams, or they could be high-intensity discharge (HID) bulbs that are size D1.

If you'd prefer brighter headlights than the standard halogen bulbs from factory, consider an upgrade to ultra-white halogen, LED headlights, or aftermarket HID headlamps.

Signs of Faulty Headlights

Headlights often simply burn out over many hours of use and no longer produce any light. It's possible that the bulbs will get dimmer over time or even start to flicker, signaling it's time to replace the headlights.

A bulb can fail prematurely if there's water present in the headlight housing as well. If you see droplets on the inside of the lens, AutoZone Store Associates can show you how to remove moisture from headlights.

How to Replace a Broken Headlight

It should only take a few minutes to change a broken or burnt-out headlight on a 2013 Kia Optima. Access the bad bulb from the back of the headlamp housing under the hood. Disconnect the wiring harness and turn the bulb gently to unlock it from the headlamp assembly. Install the new bulb in its place.
