2006 3.5L Pacifica Serpentine belt

This went easier than I thought. You do have to pull the plastic wheel well and the air cleaner assembly. If you have a Christmas tree clip puller you shouldn’t have to buy clips, but it doesn’t hurt to buy a few just in case. The trick to putting it on is start with the crank pulley and loop it around the tensioner and then the idler pulley. From there, just follow the attached routing diagram attached. Perfect fit. Got my vote. PS: you have to use a 3/8” breaker bar from below to relive tension. With the wheel well off, it’s pretty easy.

It took approximately one hour to change. I was on my way to an event when I heard something flapping. I thought it was a flat tire but it was coming from under the hood. When I open the hood I noticed that the belt started to shred. I was able to make it to AutoZone and I was able to change it in the parking lot. You will need a tension pulley tool to relieve tension on the belt to remove it. You may need to jack up the car and takeoff the right front tire to get into the wheel well for the bottom Pulley.I had recently changed my shocks and struts on the front so I did not have to jack it up the front was sitting high enough that I was able to slide up from the bottom and just turn the wheel to the right. I was able to get that pulley tool AutoZone and I believe A screwdriver to unscrew the clamps for the air filter intake housing will be the only thing that you will need.. You will also have to remove the air filter housing. You will also have to remove the clamp that’s holding the intake to air filter housing.
