Perfect fit for 2004 Wrangler X 4.0

Dan

in 6 months

I liked that this had slots for the lower bolts unlike the factory original; it made installation easier. It came with the proper transmission cooling line connectors; be sure to use the accompanying O-rings plus wrap some Teflon tape on the bolt threads before installing on the radiator. It did have nuts welded on for the fan shroud bolts; I went to Lowe's & bought four M6-1.00 x 25 Hex Bolts to secure the shroud. Before installation or pouring in coolant, ensure the drain plug is fully tightened as mine wasn't. So far I've only road tested the Wrangler but no leaks noted & the temp gauge is well within normal operating range.

Good, nearly drop-in, replacement 2004 Wrangler

It was, indeed, a good match for my Jeep. Everything was great except for the method of reattaching the fan shroud. There were merely clearance holes on the radiator as opposed to nuts or some sort of captured hardware. I used big zip ties to hold the fan shroud in place. Everything else was real good.
