                  Mitsubishi Eclipse Radiator

Your Mitsubishi Eclipse offers sporty performance and sleek styling at an affordable price. That performance depends on an efficient cooling system to disperse excess heat from the engine. Excessive heat can rapidly cause serious engine damage or engine failure. A new or updated Mitsubishi Eclipse radiator from AutoZone works more efficiently to maintain an optimal engine temperature.

Of the many components that keep your car's engine running, Eclipse radiators are one of the most important. Radiators use a combination of metal vanes and tubing to consistently pump coolant fluid around the engine and disperse excess heat. If this flow of coolant is interrupted, the engine rapidly overheats and severe engine damage results. AutoZone's friendly and helpful staff is available to help you find the parts and fluids you need to keep your car running smoothly. You can enjoy Same-Day Store Pick-up if you need your new radiator immediately.

Pay attention to the mounting tabs

This is an easy replacement job. The air intake plenum just pops off the airbox, just wiggle a bit and it's off. If you're working on an automatic transmission model, remove the hoses up at the transmission, it's super easy just release the hose clamps and slip the hoses off the nipples there. Once the old radiator is out, and you're moving the fans and shrouds to the new part, pay close attention to the mounting tabs for the fan shrouds. On my replacement job I had to use a couple of washers to fill a gap between the top of the radiator and the mounting tabs. That might not be an issue for you on your job, but look closely before you start to tighten the shroud mounting bolts. I actually had to use slightly longer bolts on the tabs where this was an issue -- and be careful to *not* use too long a bolt in that application, as too long of a bolt can crack the new radiator top (which is plastic, like the original). Small issue, but something to note as it could cause you trouble.
