    About Chevrolet Impala Thermostat

Your Impala's thermostat is crucial to the motor's operating temperature under your car's hood. Over time, your Chevrolet Impala thermostat can become corroded or faulty due to normal wear. Put your engine at ease with a premium thermostat replacement for Chevrolet Impala from AutoZone.

Signs of a faulty thermostat often include boiling or rumbling noises. When it sticks open, it can prevent your heater from working during the winter, and if partially closed, the car can run warmer than usual. Keep coolant circulating with one of our Impala thermostats. With AutoZone's home shipping and Same Day Store Pickup, you can get your car repair project out of the way in a flash once you order from us online. If you're in one of our stores, check with our helpful staff for trustworthy advice, along with free battery charging and engine diagnostic testing.

Solid thermostat that seems to work well

Fortunately, those who designed the 3.8 Impala from 2001 made changing the thermostat easy. This one doesn't come with the gasket, which is more of an o-ring, but the gasket doesn't cost much and is easy to install. There is no gasket around the space where the thermostat is inserted and that is awesome. By the way, I'm not a guy.

Be sure to bleed to air out of the coolant line using the thermostat housing bleeder screw after installation. Thermostat and gasket fit well. Check the orientation of the gasket on the thermostat if it has popped off in shipping. There is a small flange on the gasket that goes into the block.
