About
Ford Focus Thermostat
The thermostat replacement for Ford Focus ensures that the operating temperature in your vehicle's engine is maintained properly. With faulty Focus thermostats, engines overheat or run slightly too warm, and in some cases, cabin heaters stop working. Defective parts also result in unusual rumbling or gurgling noises. Through the helpful advice from AutoZone's trustworthy staff, you can have your Ford Focus cruising the streets again with a fresh new thermostat and brand-new confidence. Shop our in-store selection today and enjoy free battery charging and engine diagnostic testing at the same time.

This is the same as the car has but has a plug. The plug is not needed. Takes 2 hours from start to finish.

Good part and you can replace this without too much trouble. Some guides said you had to remove the power steering pump. I can be done by removing the passenger headlight and access the thermostat without removing anything else.

The seals in these water outlets wear out just as any ohther part on a 10+ year old vehicle. The one I purchased from Autozone fit perfect. Please note, this one has an opening on the back side with ability to add a small hose for a different car's applications. My ford focus does not have this this hose, though the part comes with a small plug and o-ring that seal it perfectly. Would highly recommend if you are losing coolant or see spray of coolant on surrounding parts, firewall or inside hood. Check your water outlet. Not difficult to install either. Had to remove the battery and battery box, pull a couple of hoses and the three connectors to the ECM. Bolts right in and (knock on wood) seems to have fixed the problem.
