About
Honda Odyssey Thermostat
A thermostat replacement for Honda Odyssey is called for if your part is broken and does not enable coolant to circulate throughout the engine block. This ultimately results in your engine overheating. A component that stays open keeps your heater from functioning in the winter months, while one that is partially sealed allows the vehicle to operate warm, but not completely overheat. AutoZone has the Odyssey thermostats you seek, plus free battery charging and engine diagnostic testing at your store visit. You can even access our Loan-a-Tool program if you want to do the installation job yourself.

I foolishly installed this in my 2009 Honda Odyssey, thinking that, "Hey, it seems like a cool feature to have it 'FAIL in the open position if it ever does, so my engine doesn't overheat and cause damage." I installed it and within a couple of weeks, my vehicle was throwing codes. One of them implied that the vehicle wasn't getting up to operating temperature. So, naturally, I began to wonder if this new miracle thermostat was in its advertised 'FAIL SAFE' condition. Yep! It is important to add that this vehicle had not exceeded it's normal operating temperature. It is also worth noting that I replaced both Engine Coolant Temperature sensors when I installed this thermostat. I have since replaced it with an OEM thermostat like I should have done in the first place and am on my way to Auto Zone to ask for a refund. Buyer beware!
