This product is a standalone thermostat without any loose parts. It makes is very easy to install this as one unit in my car rather then messing about with little pieces.

Don’t over torque bolts

Duralast part is the same as Murray part. Both are made by Motorad in Israel. I cracked two Murray housings torquing it to 100 inch-pounds with a Harbor Freight torque wrench. The crack resulted in a leak. Mazda specification was to torque to 71 to 101 inch-pounds. In the third attempt, I aimed at the low torque range when installing the Duralast housing. No leaks. All three housings were molded at the same time, based on the markings in the parts. Don’t over torque the bolts and you will be happy.
