How long to wiper blades last?

If your wiper blades are squeaking, it’s because the blades are getting uneven contact with the windshield. This causes them to catch on the glass surface. Spraying a little washer fluid is usually enough to solve the problem. If that doesn’t work, clean the glass thoroughly. The blades may be catching on a dirty spot. Worn, dried out wiper blades also squeak, so you may need a replacement. You can also check the tightness of the wiper arms. Push them up and down. If they feel loose, remove the cover on the end of the arm and tighten the bolt.
