Vehicle Stability Assist System Light
Vehicle Stability Assist uses the traction control system to reduce understeer and oversteer. When the system is working, it’s normal for the VSA light to flicker on and off. The light will stay on if you turn the system off, or there’s something keeping it from working. This could be due to a bad sensor, but most problems stem from having the wrong tires. If you buy new tires that are too small or large, the wheel speed won’t match up with the engine speed. This keeps the VSA from accurately measuring slip, so it can’t counteract steering problems.
