What could be causing the vibrations I feel in my gas pedal, and floorboard?
If you have a combination of floorboard and gas pedal vibration, the culprit is usually out of balance rear tires. When they start to vibrate, this vibration is transferred through the transmission and engine on RWD, 4WD and AWD vehicles. This is why you feel it in the gas pedal, and not just the floor. Sometimes, you can get the same vibrations from the engine if the motor mounts are bad. If you also feel vibrations through the steering wheel, it’s probably the front wheels that are out of balance.
