About
Ford Focus Transmission Mount

Your Ford Focus gets you to and from work, drives your kids to school and activities and gets you around town for errands. You need it to continue to shift smoothly all year long. A new Ford Focus transmission mount from AutoZone is one way to do that.

Focus transmission mounts are the part responsible for keeping your transmission stable and the gears shifting smoothly. Your car's axles and driveshafts stay in the proper mechanical alignment with a correctly functioning transmission mount, which, in turn, reduces wear on those components. AutoZone provides you with the right products at the right prices and trustworthy advice from our helpful staff. We also offer a Loan-a-Tool program to make fixing your Focus even easier.

This motor mount significantly reduced the vibration that was being heard and felt in the interior of the vehicle and fit perfectly. However, I have only driven 500 miles since installation so I cannot comment on the longevity of the product.

Hefty replacement, but good luck finding the nuts

While this mount is slightly lighter than the stock motorcraft one, it has enough heft to give you confidence. Please note that any manual / workbook will encourage you to use new self locking nuts. That being said, these can be a bugger to find. Grab some blue locktight and use the old nuts if you cant find the self locking nuts. I am not a mechanic so don't take my word for it, but I would be surprised if you were able to see any evidence of self locking nuts when you remove the OEM one <shifty eyes>
