      Reconnecting Wiper Bushings

      Michael

      in 3 months

It is important to note how small the gap is between the motor's arm and the bushing you have to pop up on the linkage before separating the two. I popped mine apart then thought the linkage clicked on all the way on reassembly, nope. The gap was too large, and the linkage popped back off the second I turned the wipers on for the first time. Had to re-disassemble the wiper arms and cowling and used a pair of slip-joint pliers to fully click the linkage bushing onto the motor shaft. Once that was straight everything worked great. Initial problem for replacement of motor was wipers would only work on high and not intermediate and wiper arms would not reverse and stow once wipers were turned off. Everything is beautiful now.

      Just like an original

I tried ordering other wiper motors and nothing fit my 1969 Camaro. This one is just like the original one. The only negative is it only had one of the three mounting grommets.
