Helped fix my EVAP Leak Trouble Code

A perfect fit and identical design to the OEM at only a small fraction of the dealer price. The valve is made of heavy plastic and has a feel of quality construction. Replacement of the valve is fast and easy. Simply lift the valve vertically to slide off its mounting bracket and pull the hoses to disconnect. Then reattach the hoses to the new valve and push down to attach to the bracket. It only takes a few minutes to replace and No Tools are needed. Actually, I had a large leak in the cheap thin plastic (Jeep) hose that attaches to this purge valve. The plastic became brittle from the engine heat and had 4 large cracks at the connection. I was able to fix the air leak by wrapping with 4 layers of electrical tape. Then using a zip tie to keep the tape and hose in place. If I had not replaced the valve I never would have noticed the leak. And it was well worth the price to get it fixed. I kept the new purge valve on the car and expect it to last longer the rest of the car. I was very happy with the quality and price of the purge valve, that I also replaced the ESIM valve (Evap System Integrity Module) located near the fuel tank. They are know to be another common cause of EVAP Trouble Codes and Check Engine Light problems. These valves are also relatively inexpensive and it made sense to me to replace both valves in pairs.
