My 2003 Ford Expedition (5.4L) was throwing an EGR related error code. Knowing that the EGR valve was likely original, I decided to replace it and the EGR vacuum solenoid . The code went away and my MPG in-city immediately went up by 2.5 mpg. I expect the MPG increase to be even higher on the highway. You can't beat Autozone's lifetime warranty on these parts.
