My Store in China Grove, NC is the Best Ever!and r

My store, which is located at 500 Hwy 29, China Grove NC, is the best managed auto parts store of the dozens I’ve shopped in the southeast. There are several obvious indications that this store manager knows how to run a retail business. The fact that his associate turnover is very minimal is a strong indication that Terry knows how to retain, motivate, educate, and create a work environment that associates want to be a part of as Autozone’s wages are minimal for the skill set needed to assist both the experienced professional mechanic and the novice who wants to perform minor repairs and maintenance. And the ability to provide a customer with a positive experience, especially when one is frustrated because he is having a difficult time with a repair, is a very special skill. This store’s associates are the best at this! They also know how to generate add-on sales without making the customer feel pressured. For me, I greatly appreciate it an associate reminding me of a fuel system cleaner or an item that’s on sale that week without pressuring me. If I feel I am being pressured to purchase something that I really don’t want, it makes me not want to go back in a store. It makes me feel that pressuring me to make a purchase that I don’t want is more important then me as a customer. I want honesty from the sales associate. This store has the right balance with this. As a result, I will go out of my way to make sure that I shop this store every time if it all possible. It also makes me want to make all of my purchases here even though I might find something a few cents cheaper somewhere else. The store atmosphere and friendliness as well as the helpfulness and assiciates’ knowlege are the key factors as far as I’m concerned. To me, Terry is a model manager for how an auto parts store should operate. He would be a fantastic advisor or trainer to other store managers. I only know Terry, this store’s manager is from my experiences shopping here for the past 10 years or so. I do not know him outside of the store, he is not a relative of mine, nor do I have anything to gain from him by giving him an exemplary review. One other suggestion, AutoZone might do well to follow the example of another store chain but in a different industry. To do so would set Autozone apartb from every competitor out there. That company is Chick-fil-A . They hire a little better quality associate because they pay a little more than other fast food chains. I have never had a negative experience in a Chick-fil-A and I attribute that to several reasons, but the Quality of individual they hire is head and shoulders above their competitors because their wages and benefits and their core principles are head and shoulders above their competitors. Just something to think about.
