About
Toyota Tacoma Oxygen Sensor

When you take your Tacoma truck for routine maintenance, make sure to check the Toyota Tacoma oxygen sensor. Especially when your vehicle starts nearing 100,000 miles. Toyota Tacoma oxygen sensors start wearing out as the mileage increases. Save on labor costs by replacing your o2 sensor for Toyota Tacoma with a quality part at the right price from AutoZone.

The engine of your Toyota truck runs smoothly when its processing fuel effectively. Tacoma oxygen sensors produce a voltage according to the air-fuel ratio in the engine exhaust fumes. That voltage tells the engine management computer how effectively fuel enters the engine. Without oxygen sensors, the engine management computer continues to guess how much fuel your motor needs. AutoZone offers a wide selection of vehicle replacement parts. Choose Same Day Store Pickup (in most cases) for convenient online purchases.

Nice sensor, problem seems to be fixed for now

Nick

Installed on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. Relatively easy install, but I was surprised to find that the sensor was wired up into the cab and connected underneath the carpet under the passenger side seat. Was kind of a pain to plug in the new sensor without removing the seat, but not impossible. I was having a catalytic converter below threshold code pop up every 20-500 miles or so, but decided to replace the downstream sensor before considering a catalytic converter replacement. I’ve driven about 200 miles with the new sensor, and go far so good (knock on wood).

I arrived and was concerned with my check engine light. An Auto Zone associate check it with a tester and told me the part and where it was located. I changed out the sensor and the light went out. Very knowledgeable staff.
