Fits and acts like new OEM

Once the proper torx drive was found in my tool box, installation was straight forward. The fasteners we're last installed when vehicle was built, so, 25 years and 231,000 miles later, they were a bit tough coming out. That steel and aluminum thing happens. In they went with some thread lock to protect what was left and installation was easy. On the I-6 the location is a bit awkward, but very doable. Be sure to get the proper TBS for your year, later cars have a different connector, function is the same. Reconnected the battery, after a couple of driving cycles, all is well again.

I was hoping this changing out this throttle position sensor would solve a transmission issue (online articles indicated this as one possible solution). While changing the TPS did not solve my transmission problem, without a doubt the engine seems to run smoother with the new part.
