To help others, Where do I start

I have a 2010 Dodge Charger 3.5 v6. My first dodge. Had "fuel gauge issues and wasn't reading properly" and had the "hard crank" on some days. As in, if I turn the key, it would crank over for couple seconds but won't turn on.... I would turn it off and turn it back on and would start right away. I guessed that it needed a fuel pump. So long story short, #1. These take 2 fuel pumps. #2 buy the same brand for both fuel pumps. #3 I bought this and a Delphi brand "sending unit " (passenger side) and didn't work, or fitting "hose clamp"wouldn't connect properly to this spectre brand. #4 both fuel pumps make a noise. This main fuel pump turns on like a little mini engine while the other (passenger sending unit) sounds like "water flowing through a water hose" as its "flowing gas" into the engine. Now. If you don't hear any of those sounds. One of them is bad. My case, I have 220 k miles. Hard crank and I just replaced both fuel pumps (same brand) and works like a dream again. Now, clusters do go bad as the gas gauge isn't "reading properly) had to find a used one on streets. Hope this helped. Autozone was my best auto store as I always shop here over the other one that rhymes with "0'mally" and autozone took care of my exchange of "mismatched " fuel pumps promptly and easily! Glad I have local auto stores that understand us "do it yourself" guys to save money then going to dealerships! I'll always shop at the "Zone"

Where do I start, again....

(Read my spectre main fuel pump review) But I got this to replace my brand new Delphi sending unit fuel pump, as the Delphi brand didn't fit right with my Spectre "main fuel pump" if that makes sense. Yes , dodge chargers take 2 fuel pumps, and be sure to buy the same matching brands! I learned the hard way and glad autozone helped me out with my issue as we all experienced this for the first time. I bought mismatched fuel pumps at autzone to save some money, of course. But mismatched brands don't "sync" or "fit together as it should". So I exchanged my Delphi brand for this one and not only the "hose fitting" that clamps onto the main fuel pump "click into place" it worked perfectly! My first time using sprectre brand and they are phenomenal! So buying 2 fuel pumps was very pricey and didn't expect the high prices, but compared to dealership prices , I am very satisfied with Autozone! And having them in stock and available! Always shop at the Zone!
