Pump worked as one would expect, no issues there. The real problem is getting to the darn thing in the first place. After some research and some videos, I opted to remove the bed of the truck. BEST DECISION IN MY LIFE!!! Took out the bed liner, unbolted the bed, unbolted the gas cap, released the hose clamp at the base of the filler hose (securing it to the bed), detached the license plate bulbs and tail light connection, had my son help me raise and move the bed over about 2 feet and PRESTO!!! Total time for me was 35 mins!!! This was performed on a 2001 F150 4.2L extended cab. One bolt was a bit stuck but after some PB blaster, and a little back and forth, it came out and the rest was smooth sailing. Definitely a must consider if the gas tank is more than half full.
