I changed the belt and the pulley to eliminate a squeal. Everything is doing what it's designed to with a warranty behind it!

Fits like a glove after returning defective one
Jonathan
in a year
To begin I had to purchase two of these tensioners. The first I ordered online. I got it quick and in brand new condition. No visible issues with it. Now when I removed the old tensioner and out in the new one I ran into issues. For some reason the spring was so tight that you could not tighten it any more to get the belt around it. It was so bad I ended up slowly stripping the lug lever used to pull it forward. Now this took alot of force. First I thought it was not the right tools. You need a 17mm wrench for this lug found that out. I got the right tool and my buddy tried (now we are both big 250 plus men) and this thing was whooping our keisters. I removed the new tensioner I got from ONLINE and called Auto Zone down the street from some advice. They said it sounds as if I got a defective tensioner. When I took it up there the lady took one look at it and said "yep looks defective". They swapped out the tensioner for a new one at no extra cost. I got hope slapped the new one in no issue and everything works just fine. So lesson here kids is something's are better bought in store than online. If I got this from RockAuto it would have been a nightmare to return it. I would have given this 5 stars.
