The OEM intake plastic will "grow" after years of use. The gasket may sit loosely in the gasket seat (plastic) area. A good gasket sealer (Like Permatex 85420) may be needed to make sure the gasket seals to the VERY CLEAN aluminum head surface and the VERY CLEAN plastic manifold (I used it to hold the gasket in the intake as I torqued it to the head). The original OEM gasket had failed between the cylinders and was leaking some under the lower edge of the flange, but mainly between the cylinders. Car has more power and better fuel efficiency since replacement.
