About
Jeep CJ7 Valve Cover Gasket
The valve cover is located at the very top of the engine, where it's attached by a gasket made of rubber or cork. Together, the two seal the top of the engine, preventing oil leaks. Not only does a leaking valve cover gasket make a mess, it can lead to a significant loss of oil if it's not replaced in a timely manner. The CJ7 valve cover gasket replacement options at AutoZone have been manufactured to equal or exceed the original standards. Don't forget that we offer Same Day Store Pickup.

Very straightforward swap. It is important to make sure that the edges of the valve cover are straight so there is uniform pressure all around the gasket. Installed with no problems, torqued all bolts to spec, no RTV needed, and no leaks.
