it's a basic air filter and it gets the job done. the AC is colder and stronger (and cleaner) now.

I bought my car about a year and a half ago and when I got it I checked the cabin air filter, I was shocked it literally looked like a birds nest. I cleaned it out the best I could and got a new filter at AutoZone, surprisingly the air wasn't even that noticeably bad for being clogged up. So a half a year goes by and I got my oil changed, the guy checks my intake filter and finds a mouse nest full to the brim in the intake box. I'm happy I got my oil changed when I did, I would have cried if all that got sucked through into my engine. Now I've learned since living a bit out of town apparently the rodents around here are quick to find new nesting spots, because I drive my car every day... Anyway onto yesterday, I've been taking apart my car and deep cleaning it and the cabin filter popped into my head so I went to check it... full to the brim with leaves, fur, obviously another nest... grr! Again I'm shocked I didn't noticed a decrease in AC performance or lack of pressure coming from the vents, I guess it probably bypassed the outer air and just was intaking from the cabin. I wanted to get a better filter this time around as I was noticing after cleaning the engine there's been a smell that gives me a headache, plus it doesn't hurt treating a almost 2 decade old car to new lungs! I really didn't know this type of filter even existed I thought it was just regular or charcoal, I'm kind of glad the charcoal was out of stock or I would have never known this "High Performance" filter even existed! Great price especially compared to similar "High Performance" one's I've seen. I've only gotten to experience using this product for a day or two, but I can tell instantly there's no more odors, the air feels fresher, and the dust doesn't get kicked around anymore. Basically, turned my car into a vacuum for the dust in the air, I love it!
