Saturn SC1 Fuel Filter

Bought this for my 2001 SC1 because the car would NOT start. I had replaced the filter some time ago, but it obviously clogged up. Filter fit correctly, and car started right away when I turned the key. I have NOT heard any whining from the filter at all, and its been on a couple months now. This filter is getting a little hard to find and the best price I've found, by far, is at Autozone. I'm going to get a couple spares.

This filter fits Saturn vehicles and is getting difficult to find and to get one that works as designed can be tricky as well. This filter includes the fuel pressure regulator and some other parts stores sell one without it, causing problems with over pressure. Autozone had one in stock at my local store and it works as well as the OE unit. Thanks Autozone!

Keeping the old Saturn on the road is a fun project, but sometimes frustrating as some parts are getting a little harder to find these days. Fuel filter on this car is essential to change regularly, especially if car gets hard to start. The fuel pressure regulator in the filter does age and go bad with time. If you turn your key on and you can hear the fuel pump pressurize the system and the vehicle still has no gas, the problem is USUALLY the filter. I changed my pump out a couple years ago and installed a new filter then. Started to get really hard to start. New duralast filter installed easily, included new plastic clips and the car fired right up. Soem aftermarket filters make noise, to my ears this one does not and that is a big plus!
