BMW Oil Filter

Upgrading Your Oil Filter

The OEM filter from BMW is designed to meet the minimum standards for servicing on a regular basis. However, there could be a better choice for more stringent cleaning, extended intervals, or better oil flow. A Mann oil filter or one from K&N, STP, or Fram could offer additional protection based on your needs.

Find the right filters for your BMW according to year, make, model, and engine size, and select from the brands you trust at a great price. If you want your parts as fast as possible, choose from Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup or Free Next-Day Delivery on eligible orders.

    About BMW Oil Filter

Your engine depends on clean oil to keep corrosion, wear, and overheating at bay, and your BMW oil filter accessory is an integral part of the process. As oil picks up carbon and contaminants from the crankcase, it goes through the engine oil filter where the particles are captured and stored until it can be replaced. Occasionally, your oil and filter need to be changed for maintenance, and AutoZone has your fluids and filters in stock.

When to Replace Your Oil Filters

To keep your engine at its healthiest, oil changes should be performed according to the maintenance schedule provided by BMW. In most cases, you'll get at least 5,000 miles between services, and your oil filter should be replaced along with the oil every time. As well, if you have any internal engine repairs completed, a new BMW oil filter should be installed.
