      Dodge Charger Oil Filter

A Dodge Charger is a high-performance muscle car that depends on oil to lubricate and protect its parts. Engine oil does an excellent job at lubricating metal components, but it degrades over time. As the oil in your Charger degrades, the car depends on Dodge Charger oil filters to clean the oil and protect the engine. Oil filters work well, but they must be changed regularly to maintain their performance, and AutoZone has the right part for the job based on the year, make, model, and engine size of your car.

Replacing Your Dodge Charger Oil Filter

If you have a hard-shell canister-style filter, you install it under your vehicle during an oil change. If you have the soft cartridge-style filter, it goes in the engine bay of your vehicle. For a canister-style filter, raise your car properly, set a drain pan under the oil pan, and remove the drain bolt to let the old motor oil drain out. Replace the bolt and use a filter wrench to unscrew the old filter so you can hand-tighten the replacement in its place. Put in new motor oil, and you're done. For a cartridge-style filter, locate the filter access cap in front of your Charger's engine. Unscrew the cap, pull the old filter, and install the new one before closing the cap.

How Often Should You Change Your Oil Filter?

Oil filters are meant to be replaced during each oil change. Follow your manufacturer's oil change interval recommendations and change the filter at the same time. AutoZone offers Dodge Charger oil filters and other maintenance items from brands you trust like K&N and Fram for a straightforward replacement. Get select parts and enjoy Free Next-Day Delivery to your house or Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup.

I have always preferred to get fram oil filters over others. They are so easy to work with. The reason I like it is because of the grip they have at the bottom of the filter.

This is one of the best oil filters I have ever used. Now when I check my oil its amber not black like oil likes to get. Plus its STP and they have a long history in racing which probably explains the new and powerful ruckus my engine has now. One of my friends asked if I put nitrous on and I said now way just a oil change with this wicked new filter from STP. These guys know their filters and what they are doing.

I've been doing my own Oil changes on all my cars/trucks. I finally quit going to dealerships for simple things that I can do, and I wouldn't trust any other place to touch my car/truck. Had a Ford And always got it serviced at Ford dealer, until I decided to do my own oil change one day. To realize and find out how black the old oil was and When I drained it, it barely filled up 3 quarts!!!! Never again after that so I got this for my 2013 DODGE CHARGER V6. This compared to OEM exceeds it by not only thicker Filter/filaments, but it's for higher mileage vehicles so built for it for mine that has over 100k miles. I always do stp filter combined with valvoline oil synthetic BLEND!
