Ford Escape Oil Filter
Start your oil filter replacement by safely raising your Escape onto jack stands or onto a pair of ramps and chock your wheels, and secure the emergency brake to prevent rolling. Place a drain pan under your oil pan in front of the drain plug bolt. Remove the bolt with a wrench to drain the oil from your vehicle. Replace the drain plug and use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. Finish your oil filter replacement by adding fresh motor oil to your Ford Escape.

Ford Escape Oil Filter
When to Change Your Oil Filter
It's best to replace the oil filter in your Ford Escape once every 3,000 to 5,000 miles when you replace your engine oil, or when the oil life is less than 10%. Replace both at the same time to protect the health of your engine over time.AutoZone offers Ford Escape repair and maintenance items for convenient replacements, and select orders qualify for Same-Day In-Store Pickup or Free Next-Day Delivery to your home.

Have used Fram for years, never a failure, I like the rough grip that aids in hand tightening, which is recommended.

Have used the STP Extended Life filter several times and have not been disappointed in its use. I get my oil checked through Blackstone Lab's ever couple of oil changes and never had an issue with over accumulation of particles or harmful deposits in the oil using these filters. Great value for the average DIY'er. Would recommend.
