2017 Ford F150 Oil Filter

From time to time, you'll need to change the oil filter of your 2017 Ford F150 as part of routine maintenance. The oil filter performs the vital function of keeping dirt and other contaminants out of motor oil and your engine overall. When your oil filter becomes clogged, you can find replacement at AutoZone.

In most cases, you should change the oil filter every other time you change your oil or at least once per year. So, for instance, if you change your oil every 5,000 miles, change the oil filter every 10,000 miles. Check your truck's owner's manual to learn when exactly you should change the oil, too.

Replacing your 2017 Ford F150's oil filter means finding the right replacements at AutoZone by year, make, model, and engine size. Once you've located the right filter for your needs, you can pick it up at a local store with Same-Day In-Store Pickup.

                        2017 Ford F150 Oil Filter

Replacing Your 2017 Ford F150 Oil Filter

Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to fall into a drain pan. Locate the old filter, then use a filter wrench, turning it counterclockwise all the while, to remove it. Place the new filter in the same spot, and turn it by hand to make sure it is tight. Then, top up the engine with new oil.

I love K&N oil filters. Have been using them for close to 40 years. The nut on the end is the greatest asset: no more struggling with over tightened oil filters.that collapse when using a band clamp when trying to remove or having to try and drive a filter off using a screwdriver on the seam.
