Ford Fusion Oil Filter

A Ford Fusion car engine depends on a steady flow of high-quality motor oil to protect its components from damage. An oil filter is necessary to maintain the health of your Fusion's motor oil, but even the filter eventually clogs and stops working properly. That's why the oil and the filter must be replaced frequently. AutoZone offers Ford Fusion oil filters by your car's year, make, model, and engine size from brands you trust like Fram and K&N.

Fusion cars can come with canister-style oil filters below your vehicle near the oil pan or cartridge-style filters in an access compartment under the hood of your car near the battery. Fusion owners with a canister filter must raise the car on jack stands or ramps, drain the oil from the oil pan into a drain pan by removing the drain plug bolt, and then replace the oil filter using a filter wrench. Reinstall the drain plug and add in new motor oil to finish replacing a canister filter.

Owners with a cartridge filter must raise the hood, locate the access cap near the battery and unscrew and remove the cap. Replace the Fusion cap's o-ring before swapping the oil filter itself and tightening the access cap.

When to Change Your Oil Filter

It's best to replace the oil filter of your Ford Fusion once every 3,000 to 5,000 miles along with the oil, or when your oil life monitor indicates it's time. Follow these recommended intervals, and you'll prolong the lifespan of your Fusion's engine.

AutoZone offers a range of Ford Fusion maintenance and repair components with Same-Day In-Store Pickup or Free Next-Day Delivery available on eligible orders when you check out.

As I have mentioned already with using ford OEM fluid, always a better decision to use ford recommended products. Nothing is wrong with regular filters, but using Ford on ford gives me comfortability knowing my car will last longer.

Favorite part of this filter is the matte finish. Super easy to grip! Easy to install, and doesn’t leak at all! High quality filtration for lower price than most name brand filters.
