Ford Mustang Oil Filter

Each Ford Mustang has a high-performance engine with fast-moving pistons, valves, and other metal components, and oil keeps the components lubricated and protects against damage over time. Engine oil goes bad, and it's the job of an oil filter to remove harmful particles from the oil. An oil filter doesn't last forever, though, and must be replaced before it's fully clogged. To replace a Mustang oil filter, raise the vehicle on jack stands or ramps. Set an oil drain pan underneath the oil pan and remove the drain plug using a wrench or socket to let out the old oil. Replace the Mustang drain plug and use a filter wrench to pull off the anister-style filter near your oil pan. Screw the replacement filter on using only your hand, and add the new motor oil to your Mustang to finish this replacement process.
