Honda Accord Oil Filter

An oil filter is a cylindrical part that removes debris from motor oil. Without an oil filter, engine components wear down rapidly as metal parts become less lubricated. When pistons and other components have less lubrication, components start to break. Luckily, AutoZone has a handful of high-end Honda Accord oil filters for you to use as replacements.

It's easy to replace your Honda Accord oil filter. Start by using the filters above to sort by the year, make, model, and engine size so you get the right filter. Once you have the filter, lift the vehicle and remove the old one. The oil filter is located next to the oil pan and can be removed by hand or with an oil filter wrench. To complete the service, insert the new oil filter and turn it clockwise until it makes contact with the engine oil filter adapter.

How Often Should You Change Your Oil Filter?

You need to change your Honda Accord oil filters after every oil change. For the Honda Accord, oil changes need to be done after 3,000 to 5,000 miles or when the oil life monitor percentage is low. While you can wait until every second oil change, waiting is not worth the risk. Also, Honda Accords that aren't driven often should have their oil filters replaced at least every 12 months.

When replacing Honda Accord oil filters, AutoZone is the best option. You can't go wrong with extended-life filters from STP or Fram. Choose Same-Day In-Store Pickup and eligible orders have the option for Free Next-Day Delivery.
