Your 2008 Altima oil filter is located on the passenger side of the oil pan. To make it more easily accessible, turn the steering wheel right to full lock. You should find the oil filter housing under a plastic flap between the right wheel and the subframe. Before you remove it, drain the oil that's currently in the engine by pulling the engine oil drain plug. After that, take the new oil filter and put some fresh engine oil on the O-ring before installing it. Finally, top up the engine with new oil.
