2013 Toyota Corolla Oil Filter
For most vehicles, you should change the oil filter once every other time you change the oil. If you need to change the oil every 5,000 miles, replace your old filter with a new one every 10,000 miles. Don't forget to consult your vehicle owner's manual for specific information regarding mileage limits for oil changes for even better results, and be sure to change both the oil and the filter at least once per year, regardless of the mileage.

About
2013 Toyota Corolla Oil Filter
Replacing Your 2013 Toyota Corolla Oil Filter
Replacing your 2013 oil filter is simple. Just find an exact replacement by filtering Toyota Corolla oil filters by year, make, model, and engine size. Once you have the right part, you can pick it up at a local store with Same-Day In-Store Pickup, or have it delivered to your door. Next, remove the drain plug and allow the old oil to drain out into a drain pan. Find the old oil filter, loosen it by turning a filter wrench counterclockwise, then replace it with a new oil filter. Turn the wrench clockwise to ensure the new filter is firmly in place. Top up the engine with clean oil to complete your oil change.Alternate Year Models

picture on box not the same as the actual filter

The boxes for this filter are bait-and-switch. They show the old filter which had a metal frame. However, the actual filter (and I have checked this in different stores and different sellers) is just a paper filter - no metal frame. Since Mobil 1 lied on the box, I do not trust this product - even though I have bought Mobil 1 filters for the past 20 years.
