      Honda Accord Timing Belt

The timing belt synchronizes engine timing between the crankshaft and camshaft. When these components are functioning in lockstep, the valves open and close at the right time based on the position of the pistons. When timing belts go bad, your car won't run properly and might not run at all. Luckily, AutoZone has what you need to replace a Honda Accord's timing belt.

When Should the Timing Belt Be Changed on a Honda Accord

On a Honda Accord, the timing belt should be changed between 80,000 miles and 120,000 miles. Hondas are known for being reliable, so timing belts typically last for 110,000 to 120,000 miles. Several signs also suggest that it's time to replace your timing belt including misfires, rough idling, and the check engine light turning on. Or, in a worst case scenario, a broken timing belt will mean our engine won't run.

      Timing Belt Replacement Cost

The cost of a new timing belt varies based on your vehicle. So, sort by year, make, model, and engine size for the most accurate costs. While it's cheaper to purchase the belt and install it yourself, bring your vehicle to a professional if you're uncomfortable with a big DIY job. A new timing belt for a Honda Accord costs around $200 but with labor, the average replacement cost is closer to $600 or $700.

When it's time to replace your Honda Accord's timing belt, AutoZone has you covered. Choose from great brands like Duralast and grab your parts on the same day with Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup. Furthermore, some eligible orders have Free Next-Day Delivery.

I just recently bought this car at a good deal from a friend that had hit a deer in it, with 128,000 miles on the car it still had factory timing belt and water pump, so I fixed the car and replaced timing belts and water pump and a good tune up, she’s ready to roll now, I bought for a back up car but my son is actually driving it for a few weeks 120 miles a day, everything is doing great, no issues at all with parts

Having all what’s needed in one box is convenient. Did the recommended replacement. Twenty years old and over hundred thousand miles, the old belts and water pump showed no sign of wear. hope this holds up as well.
