Having a 26 yr old truck, I wasn't sure that I'd be able to find a knob that would work but this knob worked just fine on my heater control switch.

My 1996 dodge ram truck has been been in the family about 13 years; initially owned by my father. About three years ago the little plastic part that holds the knob in place on both the heat control and directional flow knob deteriorated and began to fall off. At first, I continued to use the half broken knobs until it became completely unusable and then being as cheap as I am I proceeded to use pliers to adjust my heating controls. After about a year and a half of having two large glaring yellow lights in the face while driving at night I decided enough was enough; and that I was going to buy me some new knobs. I shopped around at various retailers online including the major auctioning website everyone knows and I found Autozone to be the cheapest even including shipping. So, I ordered these little knobs which arrived early on the same day no less that I was doing a lot of other work on the truck so I opened the package and popped 'em in place. Now I don't have to keep pliers in the truck anymore taking up my center console space or having to worry about a flying projectile should the truck ever flip- all because of a couple of cheap little knobs. And best of all, it's minimal effort to adjust the heat to cool on a warm day rather than leaving it on heat and just rolling down a window because I didn't feel like finding the pliers to adjust the temperature.
