      Dodge Ram 2500 Engine Oil

Engine oil is a petroleum substance that's thicker and denser than gasoline or diesel. In engines, oil performs a few essential tasks like lubricating components and sealing gaskets. When oil becomes old or dirty, components begin to grind and wear down. The good news is that AutoZone has everything you need to change engine oil for a Dodge Ram 2500.

How to Replace Your Motor Oil

A Dodge Ram 2500 oil change is not difficult. The first step is to lift the vehicle with jack stands, a lift, or ramp-shaped blocks. Then, locate the oil filter and oil pan. On the Dodge Ram 2500, the oil pan is underneath the cabin. From there, remove the oil drain plug and the old oil filter. Once the oil is done emptying into an oil drain pan, install the new oil filter and close the oil drain plug. To finish the job, simply add new motor oil.

Best Engine Oil For Dodge Ram 2500

The best engine oil for a Dodge Ram 2500 is 10W-30 or 5W-30. However, the type of oil you need depends on your specific model. With Dodge Ram 2500s being produced over various production years, the filter above helps you sort by year, make, model, and engine size. Once you know what oil to use there are options like synthetic, full, synthetic, and conventional oil. All types of oil work well but full synthetic is the best choice.

AutoZone has high-quality motor oil from carriers like STP and Valvoline. There are even high-mileage options for STP and Valvoline motor oil products. Getting your oil is also a breeze with Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup, and eligible orders have Free Next-Day Delivery options.

I'm always able to purchase this oil along with the specific filter at a few bucks below the rest, not to mention the $10+ discount for getting the oil bundle. (Oil+filter). What people need to know is that oil is oil. There are a few more processes or maybe 1 more detergent. But Pennzoil is STP is Quaker State is Mobile 1. This is one of those products where you are paying specifically for the name when purchasing a top of line product. Alot of the time that phrase is cliche & doesn't apply. Remember that. Also read your filter. Oil change is 3000 miles with new cars being 5000+. You DO NOT HAVE TO change your oil filter with every oil change. It's either 2 or 3. Ends up saving you quite a nugget of money.
