I have used other oils over the years. There are other good brands out there but I like to use Castrol. I especially like the GTX Synthetic Blend 10W-30 for older vehicles because it doesn't break down with the heat of the engine. I feel it also protects the pistons and inside the engine because of the synthetic blend better than regular oils do.

I like this product especially for aluminum block engines and models with high mileage. It doesn't break down to heat and helps protect the pistons. I have used this in a 1997 Toyota Corolla for years with great results. Am now using it for a 2002 Chevy Tracker and expect the same results.
