I got this under someones recommendation that I should use it to "hold over" an oil leak. Basically my engine is consuming oil (not leaking), about a quart every 500 miles, and it normally uses 5w-30. I got this instead, since it's thicker, i thought it would slow down the leak, but using it has caused my engine to shake on startup and bogged it down during acceleration/deceleration as well as a rough idle. I still haven't fixed the oil consumption issue, and using a higher grade gas has helped... but that just means I'm spending more money because I'm avoiding fixing/diagnosing the problem. I'm sure this is great stuff for an engine that actually requires 20w-50, but I'm switching back to my engine's recommended 5w-30 ASAP before this gets worse.
