Heater Control (Water) Valve

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Non-Turbo
  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2.  
  3. Locate and loosen the clamps for the control valve. Some fluid may still flow out, have a rag handy.
  4.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum line and heater hoses from the valve. Mark the hoses for installation.
  2.  
  3. Reverse to install. Fill the cooling system, check for leaks.
  4.  

Turbo
  1. Remove the battery and tray.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine cooling system.
  4.  
  5. Loosen the hose clamps to the heater control valve.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the vacuum line and heater hoses from the control valve. Mark the hoses for installation.
  8.  
  9. Remove the attaching bolt and separate the valve from the vehicle.
  10.

  1. Reverse to install.
  2.  
  3. Fill the cooling system and check for leaks.
