REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
2.4L, 3.3L and 3.8L Engines
See Figures 1 and 2
- With the engine OFF , clean PCV valve area with a suitable solvent.
- Remove the PCV valve from the mounting grommet or vent valve hose.
- Disconnect the other end of the PCV valve from the vacuum hose.
- Examine the vacuum hose and replace if the hose is cracked, broken or dried out. Always check the vent hose for clogging. If clogged, replace or clean as necessary.
- Install a new PCV valve into the hose and install into mounting grommet or vent valve hose.

- With the engine OFF , clean PCV valve area with a suitable solvent.
- Remove the PCV valve vacuum hose.
- Using a 15mm box wrench, loosen, then remove, the PCV valve from the intake manifold.
- Examine the vacuum hose and replace if the hose is cracked, broken or dried out. If clogged, replace or clean as necessary.
- Install a new PCV valve into the intake manifold and connect the vacuum hose.
