Ball Joint in Honda Element

Bought 2 of these, one for each side. The factory joint doesn’t have a snap ring likewise these don’t either. The driver side pressed in fine. The passenger side, would pop out of the hub before you could tighten it because there’s no snap ring. Not sure if the ball joint was out of spec or my hub was out of spec. I also noticed these didn’t have the knurling to keep from spinning. I ended up having to buy one from a competitor that came with the snap ring.
What kind of vehicle do you drive? 2009 Honda Element
