For the price, it is a good pump

in a year

Although I had wanted a new pump, the store didn't have one so I got this reman one. It bolted right up and after a fluid flush of the system, worked much better than the 17 year-old OEM pump it replaced. Good value for the money. Tip on removing the 18mm nut: let the nut soak in penetrating oil overnight and tap the wrench with a hammer and take your time. The nut was able to be removed without stripping it. You have to remove this 18mm nut to get access to the fourth 10mm bolt to remove the pump. Make sure you flush the system and use good quality new power steering fluid when done.

Good quality rebuilt part.

Bought this to repair a 2005 Ford Focus that we are donating to a local women's shelter. Quality is good and the price is fair for a rebuild. The low pressure inlet is at a slightly different angle than the original part but there was enough hose to make the bend. Biggest issue is that the pulley MUST be removed to reach the high pressure outlet which must be disconnected to reach one mounting bolt. This requires a tool that Autozone normally has on their loaner program. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward job.

Make sure you get the right power steering pump. This one has a hose outlet for the focus’ that don’t have the reservoir attached. Once I installed it and made sure I turned my tires left and right while it was lifted to get the Marcon V transmission fluid. Make sure you put the cap on the reservoir when you do this, and turn off the car to add more fluid when the level drops. Solid product, I’ve had it installed for about a month now. But it didn’t get rid of the popcorn noise I was hearing from the old power steering pump completely.
