About
Toyota Corolla Power Steering Pump
Just like any vehicle component that requires fluid, leaks in Corolla power steering pumps are a serious issue. Another problem is a faulty or loose belt. It’s the part that connects to the engine and keeps the pump going whenever the car is on. When it malfunctions, it causes aggressive vibrations in the steering wheel when your Corolla is idling, and it also makes it difficult to turn the wheels. For all your automotive purchasing and installation questions, AutoZone offers trustworthy advice provided by helpful staff.

I love the 2nd power steering pump I've installed.

What I dislike and what this review should be helpful with: The first power steering pump I purchased took several hours to install. This included the uninstallation of the old pump, the installation of the new one (in several hours), the bleeding of the system, and it was defective!!! Unfortunately, everything led to a repeat repair process. All the labor time, the power steering fluid, and system sealant I purchased were lost money. - There is a little (very little) residue of power steering pump at the high-pressure line and the high-pressure port of the pump itself. I must wait and see if the slightly small residue stops with the steering fluid sealant I poured into the system. What I liked: 1. The return of the defective power steering pump was seamless at the Autozone store and the store associates and manager were really nice and diligent about facilitating the delivery of the second pump on the very day I paid for it. The second power steering pump is working flawlessly. 2. The power steering pump comes with a life-time warranty on it. 3. The pump is very quiet and operational (I have only have it installed for about a week). Today is January 23rd, 2022.
What kind of vehicle do you drive? 2006 Toyota Corolla CE with a C-59 manual transmission and a front-wheel drive with 200,000 miles on it.
