Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Shocks and Struts

The shocks for your Chevy Silverado are part of the suspension system, closely interacting with steering and alignment. The shocks control spring rebound rate and absorb road imperfections and impacts. Worn shocks can throw your truck out of alignment and cause instability issues, so you need to replace them as soon as possible. You can find replacement Silverado shocks at AutoZone for a price you're willing to pay.

When to Replace Your Shocks and Struts

If you notice your truck likes to swerve on the highway and you can't seem to get it to settle, the shocks might be causing instability issues. Bad shocks can also cause uneven tire wear since it will mess with the alignment system. Another symptom is unnecessary squatting when accelerating or diving under heavy braking.

      Top Shocks for a Silverado

Shocks wear out gradually, and you might not notice early symptoms until the effects compound and become too large to ignore. If you suspect your shocks need replacing, it's a good idea to have your vehicle checked out by a qualified mechanic. Shocks generally need to be replaced every 50,000 miles, but some can last as long as 80,000 miles if you typically frequent smooth and even roads.

AutoZone carries everything for your Chevrolet Silverado including batteries, liquids, filters, and shocks. You can sort available options by year, make, model, and engine size for easier shopping, and choose Next-Day Delivery to have your order shipped directly to your home, or opt for Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup to get the parts you need exactly when you need them.

I'm really impressed with the rear strut and front struts from KYB monotube. The rear strut is an upgrade from the OEM which has a plastic tube protector for the rear strut. This KYB strut has a metal plate protector for the rear strut.

      Great shocks.

I’ve had my old shocks for over 5 years and the ride was very rough specially because I had leveled my truck with the torsion bar. When I switched to these the difference was so much better instantly. I would 100% recommend these. Would buy again.
