      Ford F150 Shocks and Struts

The primary purpose of a shock absorber is to dampen the spring's rebound so the car stays stable and doesn't bounce. Without functioning shocks, your vehicle will become unstable and uncomfortable, making it hard to drive. It can even affect how much you can tow safely. When it's time to replace your shocks, head to AutoZone and for a large inventory of shocks designed to fit your F-150.

When to Replace Your Shocks and Struts

The shocks on your truck will wear out depending on the road conditions they are subject to. Typically, they should last between 50,000 and 80,000 miles before it's time to replace them. Having them checked at least once a year will help you avoid any unexpected problems. If your vehicle's handling and comfort aren't like they used to be, it may be time to replace the shocks. In addition, you may also notice a popping or clunking sound over bumps.

      Top Shocks for a F-150

AutoZone has several shocks for F-150, all from trusted names like KYB, Sachs, and Bilstein. With one of the most extensive inventories of shocks and struts, AutoZone is the number one recommendation for all the spares you need.

To see what parts are available for your car, enter the year, make, model, and engine size of your truck. And with options like Free Next-Day Delivery on eligible orders and Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup, you can get your replacement parts as soon as today.

This is so easy to do and drasticlly improved the ride! I have learned that procrastinating this DIY is not smart. Once I switched out the shocks the ride was noticable improved and smoothed out the ride. I carry 500-800 lbs in my bed so they are worked hard everyday. This is easy to do, just loosen up the top and bottom bolts the old comes out. DO NOT CUT THE STRAP ON NEW SHOCK, First I connected the top bolt of the new unit, Then I got the second bolt ready to insert into the bottom hole. NOW cut the strap holding the new shock, as it slowly expands, guide the new shock into place and push the bottom bolt through. Easy replacement in just 5min.
