      Ford Ranger Shocks and Struts

The shocks are an integral part of the suspension system. They act as a cushioning mechanism, absorbing impacts and lessening shocks. They reduce stress on other vehicle systems such as the steering system and increase their lifespan. With age, shocks tend to wear out and lose their characteristics, so they need to be replaced. If you need replacement Ford Ranger shocks, AutoZone has you covered.

When to Replace Your Shocks and Struts

As a general rule of thumb, shocks need to be replaced anywhere between 50,000 and 80,000 miles. If you're an aggressive driver or the roads you frequent are in terrible condition, you might need to replace them sooner as opposed to someone who's a gentle driver and drives on smoothly paved roads.

Top Shocks for a Ford Ranger

When you need to replace the top shocks on your Ford Ranger, you have a choice to make. Twin-tube shocks are generally less expensive at the cost of some performance tradeoff. Monotube shocks are usually better at coping with bumps and impacts, but they come at a more premium price. Note that shocks and struts need to be replaced in pairs to avoid any unwanted driving behavior.

AutoZone is your one-stop shop for all your automotive needs, including struts and shocks. You can also sort available options by year, make, model, and engine size. You can opt for Free Next-Day Delivery if you want your order delivered to your address, or choose Same-Day In-Store and Curbside Pickup for quicker in-person pickup.

Fits a 2002 Ford Ranger RWD perfectly. A very large upgrade over stock, especially since mine were incredibly rusted and falling apart.

Perfect fit. Liked the strap around them so that once the top was mounted , I slid off the strap and as shock slowly expanded I was able to line up the lower bolt easily
