Great shock! Great price! Great quality!

These shocks ride way smoother than the KYB Gas-A-Just that I've had in the past. The KYB are over gassed and too stiff for my application. My two trucks are both 1986 Toyota 4X4 Turbo Extra-Cab Pickups. They are stock. The new Duralast twin tube shocks are a also gas pressurized shock, but not over pressurized to the point of sacrificing a smooth but firm ride. They were easier to install than the KYB, and the painted finish is durable. The durometer rating (firmness measurement) of the shock eye bushings seem to be spot on for a shock eye. I'll be getting a second set for the other truck, so I can quit biting my tongue when I hit bumps with the KYB's that are still on it.

QUALITY SHOCK! LIFETIME WARRANTY! NICE RIDE!

I just finished a review on the Duralast Twin Tube REAR shock absorbers. Those are great shocks! These FRONT Duralast Twin Tube shock absorbers are just as incredible as the rear!!! My application was one of my two 1986 Toyota Turbo SR5 Extra Cab Pickups. Both pickups are stock with no modifications to the suspension. These shock Duralast absorbers are well made and have a larger nut on the upper mounting stud than the KYB Gas-A-Just does. A nice touch that beefs up the assembly and makes it much harder to pull through the bushing compression washer. The finish (so far) is durable. The ride is EXCELLENT! Not too firm like the KYB's on the other truck that makes me bite my tounge and rattle my teeth. The Duralast Twin Tube are also a gas pressurized, but not over-pressurized to the point of being stiff. The ride is EXCELLENT!. The life time warranty is a no brainer. I'll be purchasing a second set for my other 86' Toyota, so I can get the same great control and ride. Get a set. you won't be disappointed!

Have a second jack handy.

Bob

in a year

The shocks went on rather easily, only thing was getting the old shocks down and out of the lower control arm while they were fully extended. Tire off. The truck was jacked up, leaving the lower control arm very low, so I put my small jack under the control arm and lifted it until I could get the old, fully extended shock out of the hole in the control arm. The rest was gravy. Nice shocks - very smooth ride compared to my old Gas-Adjust shocks!
